CLASS DETAILS

Hatha Yoga

When: Mon 9:15am  +  Mon 6:30pm  +  Tues 6:45pm  +  Wed 9:15am  +  Sat 9:20am
Duration: 75 mins
Teacher: Renee J
Suitability: all levels including beginners (not suitable when pregnant). 
Description: Stretch, Tone, Breathe, Relax, Enjoy!  Classes begin with a gentle warm up followed by a range of yoga postures & practices designed to relieve tension, improve flexibility & stability, and help you feel calm & nourished at every level. Classes follow a therapeutic theme & practices can be tailored to suit any level or ability. Sessions conclude with a guided breathing exercise, relaxation or meditation. This class can help you release stress, re-balance energy, restore health,  & revitalize body, mind & spirit.
Please Bring:  yoga mat & small blanket/large towel (2 blocks & a strap if possible).

Flow Yoga

When: Tues 9am + Thurs 5:35pm  +  Sat 7am
Duration: 55 mins

Suitability: Most levels (not suitable when pregnant)
Description: Flow Yoga is a moderately active, light vinyasa style of class suitable for most levels. Classes begin with a gentle warm up followed by a range of radiant yoga sequences that allow you to flow from pose to pose with the rhythm of the breath. The continuous fluid movement helps free the flow of healthy. balanced energy in the body, mind & being. Classes finish with a brief relaxation. This class helps to gently build strength & stamina, flexibility & flow at a peaceful pace.

Power Yoga

When: Tues 5:35pm  + Sat 8:10am
Duration: 55 mins

Suitability: Reasonably fit with some yoga experience (not suitable when pregnant).
Description: Power Yoga is our most vigorous yoga class. It is a strong dynamic vinyasa style that begins with sun salutations that then build into a range of powerful yoga sequences and challenging practices designed to lengthen, strengthen and invigorate the body and mind. Classes finish with a short relaxation. This class can help those with an existing practice really get their Prana flowing!

NEW! General Yoga

When: Friday 9:15am. Wed 6;30pm starts 7 Oct

Suitability: Most levels (not suitable when pregnant).
Description: General Yoga is a moderately active class suitable for most levels. Classes begin with a warm up then move smoothly through a range of fluid yoga practices & sequences that gently build strength & balance then slowly shift into longer held static postures that foster flexibility, connection & calm. Classes finish with relaxation or meditation. This class can help you balance stimulation with stillness, strength with softness & harmonize your body, mind & being.

Somatic Movements

Description: Somatic Movements is a gentle remedial style of class. It focuses on slow, smooth, mindful movements that gently contract & release specific muscles to help restore freedom of movement, release chronic tension, reduce stiffness, re-establish good posture and restore natural balance. This class can help softly soothe the mind, body & Self.

NEW! Release & Refine Yoga

When: Thursday 9am starts 8 Oct

Description: Release & Refine Yoga classes are suitable for all levels. Begin with a gentle warm up with Somatic movements to release joint & muscle stiffness then gently evolve, ground & grow into traditional yoga postures with focus on alignment & refinement while maintaining comfort & ease. Classes finish with relaxation or meditation. This class can help increase range of movement, improve flexibility & stability, release stress & deepen your yoga practice.

Pregnancy Yoga

When: Wednesday 6:30pm. Changes to Thursday 6:45pm in Oct
Duration: 75-90 mins

Suitability: 14 weeks pregnant or more
Description: Pregnancy Yoga is a specialized pre-natal yoga class designed to support women who are 14 weeks pregnant or more. No previous yoga experience required. It involves nurturing pregnancy-friendly yoga postures, breathing & relaxation practices that help to diminish tension & stress and develop strength, flexibility & a deeper connection with baby. This class can help expecting mothers create a more positive pregnancy and birthing experience.

One hour of personalized yoga tuition for 1-2 people with your preferred teacher. Great way to further your personal practice or enjoy a private yoga class with your family, friends or workmates. Please bring your own yoga props.

Online Yoga Class

When: To be advised
Description: Online Yoga Classes are held via Zoom using a live camera. You can participate via your phone, tablet or computer. Use your existing Zoom account or sign up for free 
How to take part: About 5 minutes before class set up your mat, blanket (and blocks if you have them), click the “Zoom Meeting” link we emailed you, adjust your screen, then enjoy!

FAQ: Frequently Asked Questions

We have made a few changes to honour the government guidelines for operations during
COVID-19 Restrictions. 
Here are the answers to some questions you may have:

When are classes on? Please see the Class Details shown above.
Do I have to book? Yes. Class Bookings are via our Timetable page. 
What if I need to cancel? Please email info@viroga.com.au at least 3 hours before the start of class so you don’t get charged (and we can make your spot available to others).
Will there be social distancing? Yes. To allow for social distancing there is a maximum number for students permitted per session. Please book!
How do I Pay? For contactless pay, Yoga Passes can be purchased via our Online Shop. Just show us the voucher on your phone. If you have an existing pass, you can still use it.
How do Yoga Passes work? Yoga Passes can be used by yourself or given as a gift & can be shared between family & friends (but missed/unused classes on passes are not refundable). Four Pass is to be used in 6 weeks. Eight Pass is to be used in 10 weeks. Twelve Pass is to be used in 14 weeks.
Do I need to bring my own equipment? Yes. Please bring your own yoga mat, water bottle & small blanket/large towel (plus any props listed in the class details). The communal props we usually provide are still in lockdown 🙁
Where can I buy equipment? Some props can be purchased via our Online Shop.  Alternatively yoga-king.com offers Viroga students 15% off before tax – contact us for the discount code.
What is the procedure for classes at the studio?
– Please maintain a 1.5m distance from others
– Arrive 5 minutes before class starts to sign-in 
– Inform the teacher before the start of every class of any general health or personal issues that may impact on your ability to participate (including if you are pregnant)
– Switch your phone to silent, take your shoes off then wash/sanitise your hands
– Find a space, arrange your equipment then lie down and relax.
– Be kind to yourself: only engage in activities that you are physically and mentally fit and able to undertake; cease any practice if it causes discomfort & ask for assistance if your require it.
– Be kind to others: Embrace the “quiet space” inside the studio; practice good hygiene & respiratory etiquette; respect the privacy, property, safety, security & sanctity of other persons and Viroga at all times.
– After class, please wash/sanitise your hands & any equipment used. Let us know your ideas or feedback – we love to hear it
What should I wear? Comfortable clothes & a smile! Jumper & socks on cooler days. No shoes.
Where do I park? There is plenty of on-street parking. Please avoid parking too close to driveways or in-front of bins
Can men attend? Yes! All genders are welcome.

Please DO NOT attend if you feel unwell, if you have had recent contact with COVID-19 or are isolating / quarantining, if you are under the influence of drugs or alcohol, or have had a recent injury or surgery.
